Who to JOIN a Rally with?

PLEASE SET UP YOUR REMAINING RALLIES WITH EITER A 1 STAR SKILL OR NO HEROS!

 

ALL OTHER HEROS CAN, OR WILL, HURT THE RALLY!

Why is this so, Zulu? I've heard people say Mia, Lynn and others are decent!

 

ANY Hero that has a chance base to activate it's skill, only ONE CAN BE USED per rally.  So if two Lynns, Mias or other heros that have chance are paired up in a rally.  ONE OF THEM DOES NOT GET USED.  If you had 4 Mias, as active rally joiners in a rally, only one is being used!  We waste those other slots.  So then, in turn, your rally leader damage Deeply falls off and so does yours!  We must ensure the rally caller gets the best %, so we can get our highest score.  Sending no hero, and only having the leaders listed above would increase your score by a lot!  To get out of this, you can do what I do, if  you have a hero with 1 star or 2 stars, the odds of it becoming a lead Joiner, is almost null.  So make as many PRESET SQUADS rallies you can with ones up top.  If you have a 1 star, you can use it to lead your rallies, but make sure you let people know during the bear, that its a 1 star and to NOT boot you!

 

what about philly?

Hey Philly has the right skill.  He adds damage.  Right?  YES!  Though he doesn't add as much Damage buff %, as the other rally leaders can give you; compared to the Heroes listed above.  Philly is higher quality hero than those purples we see.  Which means, if you put a 5 skill Philly in, he will most likely boot a purple that would have scored us more points!  That's NOT GOOD.  With both bear hunts, we have more than enough people to cover all the rallies with the 5 heroes listed to ensure we are scoring insanely well.  We have been shooting our selves in the foot with Mias, Lynns, Phillys and yes, my dear flint too (Looking at you Ghost Ice Fire).  Removing them from rally leaders will increase score for all.  Adding them WILL score you less than if you sent a 1 star hero or a hero-less Rally!

How does Rally joining work?  Show me!

When you join a rally, your LEFT most hero is called YOUR Rally leader.  As a joiner this is the ONLY hero that matters.  The one on the left.  Its skill may possibly be used in the rally!  It is the top right skill, of that hero, that MAY be used!  Pictures below show the skill!

The game will automatically do the math to see which skills have the highest rank.  1-5 is the skill possibility.

Once it finds level 5 skills, if there are more than 4 to choose from:  The game will choose the HIGHEST POWER level of these heroes, to use the level 5 skill.  You can ensure you wont get a rally leader skill slot, by using a very low skill level!  Making sure the rally you join gets MAX DAMAGE!

By now, we are in GEN 5 and everyone here knows how to set their squads up.  The game has even updated to allow us to label our squads.  So a brief run down of how and why I set mine the way I do.  First, my hand is my phone when I wait for bear rallies to pop open.  We are using the right side of the screen for most clicking.  So my squad #8 is bear join 1.  #7 is bear join 2, and so on and so on.  It keeps my hands closer to the green join button and allows me to join faster.  Pictures below will show my Squad setups.

 

The ratio should be IN A PERFECT WORLD. 10,000 Infantry/10,000 Lancer/ FILL remaining with Marksmen

We are not all there yet, so try and shoot for 1/1/8 first!

We are not all there yet either!  So please disburse units to ensure every rally has some of each.  When you get over even marches, start adding marksmen to your top rallies and reducing INF.  Little by little you will start to fine tune your ratio to the end game goal!

 

Who should accompany my Joiner leader rallys?  Your strongest march, should be accompanied by your next strongest heroes.  I write a list of all my heros.  I start scratching off names as I use them.  I try to make my main march, the best.  Then my main joiner, the second strongest and so forth.  This will help even out your troops and give you better joiner rallies.

Lastly, there is some discussions and disagreements across the WoS world.  All states.  It is true that Chief gear, player gear and more DOES NOT MATTER WHEN YOU JOIN A RALLY... or so we thought.

 

There has been talks as of last update that there is a stat that matters to the HOST Rally Leader.  It is the Top right skill of the Leader of your joiner rally...  AND the %'s its raw level brings.  The picture below shows the raw level %'s.  Each hero has a percent that it gains as you level it up.  Mythic heroes have the highest %'s.  The later GEN heroes, every gen, bring a higher % to the fight.  With this in mind and the world not in agreement.  I am playing on the side of caution.  Better to make my rallies, AS IF THIS IS TRUE.  So, my number one joiners are MARKSMEN TYPE HEROS.  Then my following joiners are lancer or INF.  I have been using Marksmen this last month and my scores have never been higher.  I believe there is something to this here.  And we are doing more testing to verify if this is true.  So if you want to play on the side of caution, make sure your BEST joining crew, is lead by a marksmen.  Try to get them into the big rally callers.  Watch your points soar.  Ensure you are only using the heroes listed at the top though.  The right skill will always be more important than this guessing game of % buff!

LASTLY WHAT BUFFS MATTER? SHOULD I USE?

 

YES!  Use your pets! Also, try to get a presidential spot if you can align it just right!  These will help your scores.  You can also use the Big buffs for Gems too!  They will help. Here is a Infographic that shows you what buffs, work where!

  • Lethality, it is the best damage output in bear trap. 
  • Attack stat is the SECOND best damage output stat for bear trap
  • 1/1/8 is a great ratio unless you're using a key Lancer hero for hosting (IE: GEN 5 - Jeronimo, Reina, Gwen Rally) 1/3/6
  • GEN 4 Jeronimo Reina Alonso is a 1/3/6 Ratio as well
